DESCRIPTION:Please join our free seminar at Hawaii Tokai International College by Skarma Gurmet\, a native Ladakhi. Ladakh; “Little Tibet in India” is the northernmost part of India\, at an elevation of 11000 ft. in the Himalayas. It has a unique culture\, climate\, topography\, lifestyle and religion; completely different from the rest of India.\nSpeaking the Ladakhi language\, a dialect of Tibetan\, its people have lived peacefully\, for centuries\, in a self-sustained society guided by Tibetan Buddhist spirituality. His Holiness the Dalai Lama visits Lakakh almost every year to conduct Bhuddist teachings. In addition to this seminar\, if you would like an opportunity to talk with Skarma on a more personal level\, we will have a Luncheon\, on-premise\, for $20. Most of his work has been related to NPOs\, including: Leh Nutrition Project of ‘The Save the Children Fund (UK)’\, Monitoring and evaluation of other activities for the NGO\, and was South India project manager for the NGO LIFE Tokyo.
